WHAT IS A FLEX LEAGUE?

HOW YOU PLAY: We pair competitors with fairly matched opponents for each season. Players decide for themselves when and where to play in a way that's most convenient—that's the flex part!

WHERE YOU PLAY: Choose a "Home Court" (usually a public park) close to your residence or work. You'll play half your games there, and the other half "Away" at your opponent's court.

You play on your own schedule—there's no fixed weekly time slot. Each week, you and your opponent coordinate directly via the app to find a time that works for both of you. Most matches happen on weekday evenings or weekends, but any mutually agreed time works.

As for location, you'll pick a "Home Court" when you register (usually a public park near your home or work) and play half your matches there. The other half are played "Away," usually within a 20-minute drive.

It's genuinely rare. Before every season launches, we verify that every player has competitive opponents nearby. If something ever falls short, we’ll reach out before the season starts and make it right—full refund or credit, your choice. We prioritize competitive balance above all else.

PickleFlex uses a skill system based on DUPR and standard self-rating guidelines, ranging from 2.5 (beginner) to 5.0+ (pro). Not sure where you fall? Check out our Skill Level Guide.

If you're still unsure, just select "Not Sure" when creating your profile and our league coordinators will reach out to help you get placed correctly before the season starts.

Outdoor matches on public courts are free. If you and your opponent choose to play at an indoor private club, you split the court fees 50/50.

The "Home" player is responsible for providing a new, high-quality outdoor pickleball (like a Franklin X-40 or similar tournament-grade ball).

You have more flexibility than you think. You can play matches ahead of schedule, catch up later, or even play out of order—as long as all scores are reported by the season's final deadline. The format is genuinely built for people with real lives.

Absolutely! We have specific "Beginner-Friendly" brackets designed for new players to learn and grow in a friendly, low-pressure environment while still enjoying the structure of organized league play.

We prioritize local matchmaking. Most matches are played within a 15-25 minute drive of your designated "Home Court." You'll play half your games at your home venue and half at your opponent's.
